I’m Timo — a Cloud Platform Engineer in Oberhausen, Ruhrgebiet, Germany. I spend my days managing Kubernetes at scale, and my evenings in a homelab rabbit hole: Raspberry Pi clusters, a Synology NAS, Home Assistant, and whatever automation project has grabbed my attention.

What gets me excited

• Kubernetes in all its forms. There’s a special satisfaction in orchestrating containers — whether it’s battle-tested production systems or running Paperless on a Pi in my living room. The fundamentals don’t change; the scale just does.
• Home automation done right. I’m obsessed with making smart homes that actually make life easier without the privacy creep. Home Assistant is my daily driver.
• Open source through and through. Ubuntu was my first distro, and started my journey into open source and Linux. I love open source software and Linux, and believe in building with open tools and giving back to the communities that shaped me.
